Peter Milne

Hi Alan,     I have been asked by Peter Milne's daughter if my boat was for sale :o. I've had such a good summer out of mine, especially with the gearing sorted on the jet drive, I dismissed it as a non starter (even though the sump did rot away enough to dump all it's all into the bilges! ). I have seen a 400 / 390 for sale on ebay for a song & suggested that to her instead. However, the guy that put her onto me, is a yachting journalist ( he used to work with Peter on Yachts & Yachting ) who asked 'did Peter Milne design that as well' ? I had to say I didn't have a clue! Do you know? I know he worked in the office & for the Norris Brothers, but did he do the 400 as well? thanks... Mark
If you don't know where to start... start somewhere, the rest falls into place.

Yes, Peter Milne designed the 400 first in 1965/6 and then the 520 in 1971.
He helped me re-design the top deck of the 520 in 1978 and although
the hull remained the same we called the boat the 525.
Both hulls are superbly designed and have stood the test of time very well.
