Title: Another Newbie
Post by: eyuptim on March 01, 2017, 04:49:08 PM
Hi, I'm Tim, and I'm an addict.....! To anything petrol-powered- cars, bikes, boats etc. No aircraft though. YET!! I have 2 Almarine Meteor jet boats, an Aquajet (very similar to the Meteor), a Pearly Miss with a missing skeg, and a Sunseeker 24ft dayboat.  A garage full of what some women in my life would (and DO..!!) call rubbish,  including, but not limited to, a Challenger E type replica, a Lotus Excel, Triumph Trophy TR6C, Yamaha Wr 400, XT 600 and DT175.
Some of them even work!!! All the boats need some work- the Sunseeker is waiting for an engine swap, struggling to get ANY of the 2- stroke jet engines running reliably, and the Pearly Miss is just a dry, warm-ish day of bonding and fairing away from being on the Thames for a shake-down.
Oh, and I've just re-erected my fence that Doris took a fancy to, so no boat-related fun had today!
Looking forward to visiting this site regularly,  for info and inspiration!!  Anyone have any Rotax spares??!!!!
   Cheers, Tim.

Hi Tim and welcome to OSB.
That is a great collection and there are a lot of 'petrol heads' on the site. One even has a well known business restoring classic cars. Like you I own and love, cars (Audi 3ltr), motor cycles (Ducati and Italian girl friend), boats (many) and flying (Grumman twin, shared with syndicate sadly). We are small in numbers, but have a lot of knowledge.

Re your Rotax parts, what do you want? Best regards, BN
