Hi from Jaws of Padstow, Cornwall
« on: November 06, 2020, 11:33:47 AM »
Hi guys,
I'm the owner of Jaws of Padstow, the original all wood Padstow speedboat of which a mould was taken for the production of the fibreglass boats which are all still commercially operating.
Jaws was built by John England of Padstow and launched early 1976.
Shes been a commercial 12 seat passenger boat all her life. Recently refurbished and has just passed her MCA coding for cat 4 which let's her work up to 20 miles from any safe haven worldwide.
Check out jawsspeedboat on facebook.
Thanks for allowing me to join.
Dave

Hi, you are very welcome as we cover as many speed boats as possible, even commercial ones. If you have a picture, I can put it in the main web site at www.oldspeedboats.co.uk

 Hi Dave
As we were the importers for Castoldi jet drives I remember
supplying an 06 jet for a commercial wooden speedboat at
Padstow which was called Apollo Jet. Do you remember it?

I think the speedboats of Padstow were all monsters. One was a Russian speed boat as well I believe. They were sold on to many seaside venues as they became older. Great series of boat though.
