Title: Engine Mounts for Simmonds
Post by: Thumper on March 11, 2019, 06:43:21 PM
I've never had to think about this before, but does anyone have a suggestion as to what might act as suitable engine mounts for a Simmonds?

One of our owners has discovered that the mounts currently fitted in his Simmonds are too thick, and raise the engine up higher than is desirable.

Any recommendations gratefully received!

Hi Thumper, good to hear from you. There is a company who still makes engine mounts. I will look them up as they may have an answer. BN

Thanks BN. I did wonder if the standard Ford mountings might do the trick - the boat being fitted with the Ford Consul straight-four engine.
