No the best shot, but was in a dark garage. This is the cockpit shot of my Mitcham Spitfire after restoration and conversion of outboard from tiller to remotes and steering wheel.

During the 'lock down' here in England, I have been experimenting with the wheel configuration of my tiny Mitcham Spitfire (outboard version) trailer.

I know the 8" wheels are OK, but then I tried the twin axle which was a disaster on such a small boat. It basically pitched where a heavy boat would absorb the weight. I used the lightest suspension and it still failed. I wanted to use the 4 wheels for safety in case of a puncture on a decent journey.

So during the long time at home, I decided to put 10" wheels on like I have on my Spitfire (jet version) as I know they work. This will allow me to travel a long distance with more absorption of pot holes and terrible roads when we are free  :D

Having said all that, I think the 4 wheel version does look cool  8)

that said, if you could've got smaller maybe sand tyres? they would've had softer sidewalls?
If you don't know where to start... start somewhere, the rest falls into place.

Now you tell me  ;) So the next change is to be some sand tyres  :D The problem is, I am locked down and cannot go anywhere, so I am now modifying an old trailer into a decent one to take away all the rubbish I have turned out during the lock-down  :D

The combination of  Mini 4 x 4 (Jimny) and Mini Speedboat on a four wheel trailer looks absolutely superb - Perfect proportions  ;D

On a side note ...... don't spend too much time on the trailer for the tip ........ Up here in Yorkshire the tips are due to open next week But " No trailers will be permitted" only rubbish carried inside the car can be taken and long ques are expected. The privately operated (council owned) tips up here are managed in a very frustrating and ill-considered  way.

Our tips charge for a trailer, even a tiny one  ???

How about this idea. When I was restoring this Mitcham jet boat, I placed it on my build buggy and I think it has the potential for an brilliant amphibious sports vehicle, do you?
